Kaya has worked exclusively in Family Law for approximately 7 years. Prior to this, Kaya spent several years in a general practice firm, which provided her with invaluable knowledge on legal areas that overlap with family law, such as estate, commercial and criminal law.
Kaya has completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in Criminology. With a background in Social Science and more than 9 years’ experience in the legal industry, Kaya demonstrates a high level of interpersonal skills and knowledge. Kaya assists her clients with all aspect of separation, including but not limited to parenting relocations, separation of financial affairs, divorces and financial agreements.
Kaya’s approach sees litigation as a last resort and strives to achieve just and fair results without the court battle. She prides herself on providing clients with realistic, timely and honest advice.
One of Kaya’s primary objectives is to ensure her client’s feel supported, empowered, and heard during what is usually one of the most difficult times in their lives. Kaya’s focus centres around minimising conflict, stress, and cost for her clients. Kaya takes pride in her attention to detail, being accessible to her client’s and in working efficiently to resolve matters as swiftly and as cost-effective as possible. Kaya places an emphasis on passing on as much knowledge as she can to her clients so that they are able to make well-informed decisions that are in their family’s best interests.
